Schedule: Variable; based on bookings and availability
This role does not include guaranteed weekly hours. Face Paint with Paris is actively expanding, and team members are onboarded in preparation for increased demand as advertising and outreach continue to scale.
This position is best suited for individuals seeking flexible, event-based work who are open to a ramp-up period as the business grows.
Role Overview:
Party Specialists support Face Paint with Paris by preparing, transporting, setting up, and facilitating event experiences, including corporate event staffing, craft activations, and balloon décor.
This role includes both on-site event work and behind-the-scenes studio work, such as preparing materials, assisting with décor production, and supporting event logistics.
You will represent the Face Paint with Paris brand at events and are expected to interact with children, families, and clients with professionalism, warmth, and confidence.
Compensation & Growth Path
Face Paint with Paris uses a tiered pay structure based on experience, training stage, and independence.
Pay Rates:
• Training & Assisting Rate: $25/hour
(Includes onboarding, shadowing, assisted events, and studio production work)
• Independent Event Rate: $50/hour
(Once fully trained and approved to work events independently)
In addition to hourly pay, commission opportunities may be available, including:
• Commissions earned when guests book future parties from events you host
Additional commission structures may be introduced as the company continues to grow.
All team members complete a 90-day trial period, during which performance, reliability, and readiness for independent work are evaluated.
Responsibilities and Duties:
• Travel to event locations throughout Sacramento and surrounding areas
• Load, transport, and unload event equipment (up to 60 lbs)
• Assist with event setup, breakdown, and cleanup
• Engage with children and families in a friendly, professional, and enthusiastic manner
• Maintain clean, organized, and visually polished event spaces
• Provide excellent customer service during events
• Assist with studio production, including preparation of craft materials and balloon décor
• Work evenings, weekends, and occasional holidays
• Support additional tasks as needed based on event demands
Qualifications and Required Skills:
• Previous experience in events, childcare, entertainment, or customer service is a plus, but not required
• Valid U.S. Driver’s License (required)
• Reliable transportation
• Smartphone with GPS, data, and basic app functionality
• Comfortable using digital tools such as calendars and messaging apps
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Organized, detail-oriented, and able to multitask
• Reliable, punctual, and professional
• Ability to lift and carry up to 60 lbs
• Flexible availability, including weekends and evenings
• Willingness to learn and grow within the role
